It was another outstanding display of Fort Loramie and Shelby County commitment to the cause of saving lives through blood donations Tuesday, Feb. 17 at the St. Michael’s Hall blood drive! The community gave full support with 289 whole blood registrations (8 first-time donors) & 292 donations, plus 12 apheresis donations, for 122% of the collection goal!
CBC Shelby Co. Account Representative Kathy Pleiman said, “My thanks to everyone who helped and donated at St Michaels Hall.
It takes a lot of hands to support a drive this size. Our gratitude extends to the Fort Loramie Community Service Club, with Chairperson Jane Poeppelman, the Knights of St. Johns and the American Legion Auxiliary ladies, who served our hungry donors at the Donor Cafe.
Local donors filled St Michaels Hall during the 8 hour event proving that the Fort Loramie Community is a small town with a big heart!”
Special congratulations to milestone donors Joe Turner and Randy Hoehne from Fort Loramie and Roy Sturwold from Russia. Each reached their 100 lifetime donation Tuesday!
